I bought a heating and air-conditioning system. This was a high efficiency system manufactured by Trane. I have to admit, this is an amazing system..I am really enjoying the air-conditioning for a second summer in a row and find that I am a saving on heating and A/C.
Comparing what I paid for my to system to that of my neighbors, I found that I paid too much and was taken advantage of. $16,000 plus is too much to pay for this type of system when everyone else in your neighborhood is paying between $6 and 10 thousand in your neighborhood.
I was also not pleased with their sales approach which involved having pressure sales people call your home and promise all these rebates. It has been over a year and I have yet to receive any rebates, especially the one the from the Ontario Power Authority.
Unfortunately, this company has not helped me get the rebate and has not made any attempt to remedy my concerns.

Very Positive Experience at Myers Hyundai
In March, I traded in my Hyundai Tucson after two years for an Elantra. In this environment of high gas costs I was looking for a more fuel efficient vehicle. I was approached by Myers who offered me up to $6000 in credits toward my new purchase, should I want to trade in my vehicle. I decided to go for it and ended up with the same car payments with an extended warranty. The people at this dealership are great. I deal with David Hannah..He is the most honest sales rep I have ever met. What impressed is he has been at this dealership for a long, long time..To me this is a positive message to customers about the dealership. It indicates a dedicated stable environment full of knowledgeable staff. People are looking for a positive experience where there is no pressure to buy car and the sales people will go the extra mile to get you the best deal..

Fareness to Consumers in Ottawa is here!!!
Everyday, there is someone out there trying to sell us something we don't necessarily need, overcharge us or just bother us at times where we just want to be with friends and family. There are fantastic companies out there that give back through charity and replace a broken product with the least headaches possible. These are companies that are good corporate citizens. They are also the companies that stand by their products and want to remedy a bad experience and create goodwill.
Then, there are the other companies. We all know them, they are looking for a quick payoff. They are never around when something goes wrong. They ignore your phone calls and overcharge for everything. They cost you time. They also are the ones that have the smooth, sauve salepeople that tell you that they will take car of you and then once the deal is done, you don't hear from them.
This blog is here to make these bad companies accountable by exposing them and giving them the opportunity to make things right with their customers. This blog is also here to help prevent people from falling into these bad situations by providing them with information on these companies and hopefully giving them the tools to make better informed decisions, and avoid these unpleasant situations.
